Hi Everyone,
Get ready to rock out because March is jam-packed with exciting news at Okemos Music Academy!
First off, a huge CONGRATS to Xavier for winning our epic “Guess the Skittles” contest! We were all impressed (and maybe a little jealous) by your Skittles expertise.
Now, let’s talk about the main event: RECITALS! Mark your calendars for June 1st!
Whether you’re a seasoned soloist or a brand new band, we encourage everyone to sign up and share your love of music with family and friends.
Sign-ups are open now, so don’t miss out!
Speaking of celebrating musical talent, we’re thrilled to announce that Okemos Music Academy just won the Best of Okemos 2024 Award for Best Music Lessons! We’re incredibly grateful for your support and can’t wait to keep helping students of all ages discover the joy of music.
And to top it all off, we’re celebrating our 2nd Annual Spirit Week! From April 8th to April 14th, show your school pride by rocking your school colors or logo. Stop by the desk to get your goodie bag and enter the drawing for the GRAND PRIZE: one lucky winner will be chosen to take home the ultimate prize: a brand new electric guitar or keyboard (your choice)!
So dust off your instruments, practice those scales, and get ready for a fantastic month at Okemos Music Academy!

WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT THEIR LESSONS!:
“Okemos Music Academy is great!”
-Laura McArdle, Okemos, MI 3/16/2024
“Thank you so much. I enjoyed meeting Jim today. He knew the artists and songs I wished to learn, and he taught me a couple of slight variations of chords in a Pearl Jam song that I want to play to accompany my singing. I should be able to play it from beginning to end by next week’s lesson. Thank you for all your insight and support.”
-David Brooks, Holt, MI 3/14/2024
“Things are going great with Shelly. She’s teaching me so much and I’m always excited to learn more from her.”
-Laura Brown, East Lansing, MI 3/8/2024
“We love Okemos Music Academy! Our instructor is patient and kind and notices my child’s frequent changing interests in musical genres. They structure lessons related to what my child likes, which makes classes enjoyable and motivating.”
-Cristina Barazza, Lansing, MI 3/1/2024
Thank you to all who have provided us with feedback about your lessons. We appreciate you being a part of our academy!
