Update From Director John Dewey!
Read the latest update from Director John Dewey:
Dear Okemos Music Academy Students and Families,
As we approach the warmer months, many of us are thinking about how to keep our children engaged and inspired. We’ve all seen the struggle: the constant pull of the screen. This summer, we want to help your kids trade “scroll time” for “soul time.”
Whether it’s starting fresh with a new instrument, picking up extra lesson time to master a difficult piece, or adding a second instrument like Voice or Drums to their repertoire, summer is the perfect time for growth. Our dedicated instructors are ready to help build your child’s confidence through personalized lessons in Piano, Guitar, Violin, and more.
A big round of applause for Bella!
She is our official Spirit Week Winner and has walked away with a $50 Visa Gift Card.
Thank you to everyone who participated and showed their school pride!
Our Spring Recitals are just around the corner on Friday, June 19th and Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at the Okemos Community Church.
These “short and sweet” sessions are perfect for busy families.
Sign up at the front desk today!
While we are currently celebrating all of our amazing Moms, we are already looking forward to our Dads!
Our "Bring Your Dad to Lessons Week" is coming up June 14th – June 20th.
Bring Dad along to your lesson for a chance to win the Grand Prize: A $50 Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Card!
Plus, everyone who enters gets some goodies, and Dads get a special gift too.
Make sure to enter the drawing at the front desk!
Let’s make this a summer full of music and memories!
Sincerely,
John Dewey
